AGM 2013 Update

Prior to the AGM, I (Christoph Paszyna) have asked that Graham explain his continuing refusal to comply with the 2-year old OCM decision to provide me with online read access to our bank accounts.

The written reply in the AGM handouts was: "Financial accounts are provided to Christoph Paszyna on a regular basis."

But what's provided is NOT the agreed convenient online access, it is the decidedly hamstrung version of it. Graham Smith and BCA made it difficult for me to see what happened to our finances when it happened. They supplied financial information only 3 times during the year, a day or two before an upcoming OCM meeting. I was kept in the dark about the building manager pay increase (made early May 2013) until 3 months after it happened. The moment I first saw the related numbers, I immediately spotted something wrong with the re-calculated PAYE tax and demanded an explanation from Graham (on 11.08.13 and again on 29.08.13, documented in protected.zip). No explanation was given up to and including on the day of the AGM (see "manager pay" page). Just saying, it's "catch-up" without supplying any verifiable numbers is plainly manipulative! At the AGM, Graham declared my criticisms documented on these web pages to be "unacceptable personal attacks" and completely sidestepped the need to respond to the raised facts with clarifying counter-facts. His tactics of refusing to engage with the subject matter and distracting into a discussion of style has been the standard response over the recent past. If you look closely, you will find, each of my e-mail threads in the past started politely. More pointed comments followed only later in each thread, when replies were evasive or otherwise ignoring the underlying issue.

The fact is, while I have communicated transparently and inclusively, Graham effectively excluded me from regular OCM-related communications as far back as May 2013, while I was an officially appointed OCM member. You can see this from the e-mail headers of recent communications by Graham (e.g. rubbish vote cancellation and Katrina's wall), where only a selected sub-group of OCM members was actually addressed.

Initial Posting of October 2013

The Owners Committee decided at its 18.10.11 meeting: "It was agreed to allow Christoph to be able to view bank accounts online" (quote from the meeting minutes).

Graham Smith, as the sole signatory to our crosslease's bank accounts, continues to be in breach of this decision to the present day. This is not a personal accusation; it's a fact. My work pushing for the financial accountability of our crosslease is documented in various places on this web site, specifically my discussion paper on the Where we're going page.

The complete 14-page e-mail trail of Graham's actions and inactions in contempt of the Owners Committee decision is contained in file "access.pdf" (part of the archive protected.zip on the Privacy page.
